Academic Year
Teaching commences on the second Tuesday after Labour Day. The academic year is made up of two semesters consisting of three terms as follows:
- Semester I (September to December) has approximately 12 weeks of lectures (including a brief reading period in October);
- Semester IIA (January to March) has approximately 7 weeks of lectures (in addition there is a reading week in February);
- Semester IIB (March-May) has approximately 7 weeks of lectures.

Lectures
The Freshmen courses are offered each year. The Junior year courses will be offered in the academic year 2008 - 2009, the Senior year courses in 2009 - 2010, and the Sophomore year courses in 2010-2011.
Lectures are normally held from 8:50 a.m. to 12:20 p.m., Monday to Friday. Freshman courses normally have no lectures on Thursdays.
