Road Closure Notice!!

Please note that the eastbound LINC will be closed from 9:30 pm Friday evening through Sunday. This may affect your drive home from convocation and to/from the open house on Saturday.

The closures will be in effect from the Upper Red Hill Valley Parkway/Mud Street in the east to Mohawk Road in the west. At the west end, access between Hwy 403 and the Mohawk Road exit will be maintained during both closures.

Traffic is expected to increase during these maintenance weekends, and motorists should allow extra time and plan alternate routes.

Parking Information for the Open House

CRTS has a parking lot at the rear of the building off West 28th Street. Parking, however, is limited and therefore we hope to reserve those parking spaces for our elderly or disabled guests. You may park on the streets around the seminary building, though the seminary assumes no liability for parking infractions. You may enter through the front door off West 27th Street or through the backdoor off the parking lot. If you are unable to climb stairs, you should enter through the rear door off the parking lot. There is a ramp to the door and you can use the elevator once inside the building.

The Cities of Refuge – Dr. John Smith (Old Testament)

Why did the Lord give his people these cities?  Where were they?  And why could an accused murderer only go free after the high priest died?

Sermon Session – Dr. Arjan de Visser (Ministry & Mission)

Would you like an impression of what happens during the weekly “preaching practice” class, or Sermon Session, as we call it? A student will present the introduction, as well as theme and division of his sermon proposal.  After this the professor will evaluate and point how he should improve.

Thesis Defence Saturday – Dr. Jason Van Vliet (Dogmatics)

Every Friday students engage in a (usually) vigorous debate about the finer points of doctrine.  Today two students will be on the hot seat.  You, too, can join the debate… even though it’s Saturday.

The Guanabara Confession – Dr. Theodore Van Raalte (Ecclesiology)

Imagine you are a 21-year-old knife-maker, and one of the first Reformed believers to reach the Americas. Could you write a confession of faith, under the threat of death? Come and hear this true story.
